Our unique collection of basalt fountains are a great way to introduce the sound of running water to your garden, no matter the size. These fountains have gained immense popularity among homeowners wanting to enhance the appeal of their garden space.  Basalt is a volcanic rock and one of the most common types of rock in the world. Although it is common, it is rare to fine the long solid columns of basalt like we have in our products. The skin or crust on the outside of the columns will have a patina that ranges from beige to red to black and will often contain a variety of colors. The inside of the basalt is black and polishes up to a rich luster. Basalt is a dense crystalline material, about 10% heavier than granite.  We work direct with the quarries to supply only the highest quality columns to be used as basalt fountains. Natural stone is always very heavy.  Please get help moving these pieces and be sure to keep your fingers clear when setting heavy stone.
