2″ MPT x 1″ FPT Reducer Fitting

This is one 2" MPT x 1" FPT Reducer Fitting.  It will couple a 1" male with a 2" Female fitting.  Depending on the application, you may want to use pipe tape or silicone n the threads if it is out of the water.  If this is being used below water for a pond pump, we never treat the threads since a few drops of water leaking out would not be a problem and it makes it easier to take it back apart if you should need to service it in the future.  FPT = Female Pipe Thread.  MPT = Male Pipe Thread
