Seaming Supplies for EPDM Rubber

$56.24$393.74

This is the seaming tape and primer that we use every time.

Choose the proper supplies from the list below depending on your application.

  • if just patching holes: scrubbers, primer and cover tape or just buy the repair kit.
  • if seaming rubber: scrubbers, primer, splice tape and cover tape.

Proper seaming:

  1. Clean rubber with scrubbers or wire brush
  2. Make sure area is dry
  3. Get the area to be seamed as straight as possible. Folds are very bad.
  4. Apply a thin coat of primer to both pieces of rubber using the scrubbers to scrub it into the rubber.
  5. Primer should be tacky prior to applying tape.
  6. Pull of the protective plastic from one side and apply the two sided splice tape to one edge of the seam.
  7. Peal off the protective plastic and apply the other primed piece of rubber to the now exposed splice tape.
  8. Apply primer and the cover tape centered on the seam.
  9. Press it all down firmly and allow some set time before exposing to water.

These are all of the supplies that you will need if seaming or patching rubber. This is the tape and primer that we use to create seams in our rubber that are as good as the factory seams. To properly seam together two pieces of rubber, both pieces must be clean and dry. You will need primer, 3" splice tape and 3" cover tape for each seam. The 6" cover tape and primer are also very good for patching holes in rubber. You can just choose the patch kit if you only have one or two holes.
